Work involving mains power, fixings into a wall or ceiling, or lifting a heavy panel carries real risk. Where a page names a point past which the work belongs to a qualified electrician or installer, that boundary is the instruction, and it is the part of the page that matters most.

No figure for fastener torque, electrical load, current, wattage, or wall capacity appears anywhere on this site. Those figures belong to your own equipment, your own wall and your own wiring, and they come from the manufacturer documentation or from a qualified professional.

Product characteristics on this site are transcribed from product listings and are described as what the listing states. Listings change, are corrected, and are sometimes wrong. No characteristic here has been verified by testing, measurement, or use, and none is warranted to be accurate or current.
Check the current listing and the manufacturer documentation before buying anything, and treat those as authoritative over anything written here. Nothing on this site states that a product is compatible with a particular television, console, wall or room.
The calculators
Each tool prints its formula and a list of what it does not account for. Results are a starting point for measuring in the room, not a specification. Acting on a result without checking it against your own room and your own equipment is your decision and your risk.
